Share your gift with others

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

This spiritual woman I follow on facebook today said "If you have a gift it's a gift to you, and should be shared with many. Don't fear sharing, bring joy and happiness to others lives". Not everyone has a gift they are born with. Or maybe they haven't been put in the right situation to use their talent to be discovered. I feel like I am finally in a place to share, it's taken me a lot of courage to grow up and get here. But now that I am taking baby steps I feel like I can keep stepping forward. This is gonna sound stupid but last night I turned on the voice for a few minutes on accident (it was on accident I swear lol). Anyway Cher was listening to this guy sing and she said "you need to stop being so aware of yourself". Sometimes when we are too aware it traps us in a constant state of self criticizing to a point where we can't be free at all. I am ready to be more free and confident. Plus it's important to share what you got with others, even if others were rough in the past. It doesn't matter, there will always be haters, know who they are and walk away, sooner than later.

On that note I got some baby pics to share =) This little lady is upping my photography confidence.

I am still working on getting my eating back in order. I am not sure why it's been so rough lately. I was sick for 3-4 days thursday-Sunday, finally feeling better. We went and picked a ton of apples at Scott's dad's house, as in like 45-50 lbs of apples. I gave about 25 lbs away to my friend. They are nice apples too, big and perfect. We have no idea what they are lol Something close to a Gala I would say. They are super sweet and red, some stripey. Scott's dad moved into his house 31 yrs ago and these two dwarf apple trees were there, so no idea. I used 12 this morning to make 2 jars of apple sauce. I am finally down to 1 huge trader joes bag full. I enjoy a challenge =) His grandparents have an orchard with varitiy of lots of types of apples and they said I can go there and pick what I want. (I would attempt to sell some to my work but seems like everyone local is selling apples there at the moment, darn it)They have passed and rent out the property. His aunt plants a huge garden there every year and they make 45-60 jars of salsa from all the tomatoes she grows. She brought me a box of huge peppers and tomatoes last week. No shortage on good fresh stuff to eat even at the end of October. Stay away from the darn ice cream Julie!

    Gorgeous photos!!!!!

We used to go pick apples (usually Gravensteins, which are wonderful!) - we picked 150 lbs the first time, since we were so clueless, LOL! But my mom and I canned applesauce which we ate all winter. And we kept a bunch of apples in the basement, they stayed fresh and crispy all winter. By spring they were a little less fresh, so we just made more applesauce.

I love apples - especially Gala and Fuji apples.
