well I had a gain

Monday, October 21, 2013

I gained 5 pounds I slipped off my lo-carb diet and had cake and whatever else I could eat. So tomorrow starts anew again and hopefully I will be back to losing soon!Iknew I was going to gain even though I have been exercising more I just knew it.I will get it back off in no time I am sure of it I need to reach my xmas goal and now I have 5 pounds added on to that oh well, we will see how it goes.Everything in my life is going wonderfully and my kids are great and everything is just wonderful. We had a dinner to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and I ate sensibly but I did have a sweet potato with butter and brown sugar that did me in I think because the rest of my meal wa broccoli and baked Haddock with a very thin coating on it. It was delicious to say the least. My soreness from exercising is gone now and I am doing better with it. I wonder when I ever will have some increase in stamina and strength to really work out now I have to modify everything cuz I am so out of shape.well, I guess slow and steady will win the race!!Thank you all for listening to me babble on. I love you all! God has blessed me with your friendship!!
Blessings to all,
Lu Ann

A gain can get you down, but it's so great to see that you're hopping right back to it. I think that's what's most important. Creating habit and increasing your determination to become better. Many people mess up and decide to stay down and continue to go in the wrong direction. NOT YOU!! emoticon

Glad to hear that you and your loved ones are doing so well. Congratulations on your anniversary. 25 years is so amazing, and a blessing these days. Hope you see many more!

    HI Lu Ann,

You will win the race my friend. With God on your side, prayer and your choice to do something about your weight is the only way to go. Congrats on your 25th Wedding Anniversary. You should be very proud.

I live with RA as well as Osteo in my spine. I know that the pain is tough when you know the only way to rid some of the pain is to get up and get going. I have found it very hard but am working at it. Today I did 14 min of Cardio. I am proud of me. But you need to be very proud of you as well. You have pushed on when others would have given up.
Keep your faith my friend knowing that you will succeed.

    God Bless

You will lose again - not to worry. And the goal for me with exercise is just to keep moving, however slowly!!

Just admitting its time to refocus is a step in the right direction. We all make mistakes, its those of us who learn from them and keep going who are successful!

congatulations on your 25th wedding anniversary. that is awesome. it seems reasonable that you might eat a bit more freely on a special occasion like that. I hope you enjoyed yourselves. also kudos for refocusing now and recommitting to your weight loss journey. you are right, you can do it.

Probably most of your weight gain is fluid. You usually don't gain 5 pounds that quickly and keep it. So just get back on course and you'll lose it again!

Don't worry Luann this will come off. You cant live your life knowing that you cant have an occasional splurge. Normal weight people have a gain too after they splurge but most likely they are not jumping on the scales every morning like we are so they don't even know. But we just have to deal with it as a part of our lives. If you know your going to have a splurge then enjoy it and get it off with extra exercise or giving up something else. Just like you were doing with extra exercises. You've got a great attitude so emoticon emoticon

I love sweet potatoes too. When I go to golden corral I try and get the softest one they have, split it open and go over to the salad bar and dip some of the pineapple juice on it and then sprinkle sweetener on it. I make good choices right up until the bread pudding and ice cream. emoticon

I want to thank you for all your encouraging remarks that you post daily. Thank you! emoticon

Don't worry, you will take that 5 lbs. off in no time. We all slip from time-to-time. I just restarted my good eating plan because I have 7 lbs.to lose for the first time since I reached my goal almost 2 years ago.

As for the exercise, slow and steady is the way to go. It take a long time to get into shape, but if you keep a positive attitude, and keep trying you will be fine. emoticon emoticon
