Well in a normal week I bike 3 days and walk 1. Last week I biked 2 and walked 2, mostly because I just wanted to since it was so nice out. This week, after looking at the weather predictions it looks like I will be walking all week since they are predicting rain Mon thru Thursday (I drive on Fridays). I refuse to bike in the rain. It is treaterous in good weather what with all the crazy drivers out there I sure don't want to add slippery roads into that mix. And this past weekend I have been doing alot of thinking about my winter gear - what to wear when walking in the cold and snow that will be happening very soon in my area. Ah yes, we are talking down jackets, boots vs winter hikers. All items that I need to research and purchase at some point. I am very serious about walking home all winter, bought my gloves on Saturday. Lovely pink with thinsulate in them. Hubby thinks they might be too hot but I already own thinner ones and wear them now on chilly mornings. They are too cold for winter, I know this now so I needed something better for when the weather turns really cold. I am actually looking forward to winter this year just because of my desire to walk home and prove that it can be done. I did it 7 years ago when my oldest was in school but I didn't walk much in the winter months. This time I want to. Want to, I think that is the big one. Before when I would diet I was only sort of interested, this time I want to. Same as the exercise. I want to. I want to push my body and see what happens. I want to peel off the clothing come spring and be surprised by what is underneath. As I pack away my summer clothing I want to never fit into them again. I want to get fit and be happy. I want a healthier life.
