Concerned

Monday, October 21, 2013

Water.... Water is a big concern now. I mostly drink tap water and the fluoride in it makes me worried. I love water. I drink it often and with the fluoride (that has always been in there since i was born) makes me wonder what effects it's having on my body. I don't have much money so getting a filter is out of the question, so is buying bottle water (not to mention that is not good for the earth). How do I get my daily water intake with all this poison!! : /

Have you ever considered getting a Brita pitcher or one of that kind? If you go to Brita's website or even Target's coupon section, you can usually find deals for the filters and the pitcher is about 20 bucks. I live by my Brita pitcher of water.

There are a number of places to get a filter for your tap water - Just about any hardware store has them. Here a cite for one of the manufacturers - Sometime you can buy these cheaper at Big Lots or one of the big box stores. http://www.purwater.com/water/pur-p

If you're really concerned, there are carbon-filter water pitchers that run $20. to $30. I think they filter fluoride.

I've never heard of any serious side effects from relatively normal doses in the water. I would judge that you would do more damage to your body with one Twinkie than fluoride would do in a lifetime.

I too hate all the floride added to local water. Luckily our water has stopped adding it!

But I don't think you need to be overly concerned by it. emoticon continue to drink the tap water. It is still your best option.
