Little bits add up

Sunday, October 20, 2013

Wow, the hail last night was loud! It was accompanied by pouring rain. The rain lasted through the morning today, so Cooper was completely uninterested in long walks. But I kept taking him out for short walks, and the minutes and miles kept adding up. The rain stopped after lunch so I took him for an hour's walk in the late afternoon, then another 40 minute walk after dark. Altogether it was almost 9 miles. emoticon

I baked brownies last night. Not a good idea, since I love brownies fresh out of the oven. I did okay though, and put some in the freezer so I wouldn't eat the whole pan right away. Of course I had a brownie for breakfast, which probably wasn't the healthiest way to start the day. LOL! emoticon

I am going to start with the juice fast tomorrow. I am not going overboard with it though. I plan on eating a healthy dinner each night. If I don't I will wake up in the middle of the night and eat everything in sight. I have no self control if I wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning starving. emoticon

Oh how I understand about the pan of brownies. I have had to bake a second batch for an event on more than one occasion when all of the brownies in the pan disappeared. I also agree about waking up at 3 and getting the munchies.

In prepping for your juice fast have a couple strategy snack packs assembled in the fridge or pantry just in case the wee morning hour growlies send you prowling. It is the same strategy diabetics need to use for managing sugar lows . If there is pre-planning involved you are sure to succeed
