Day 202 & 203 - Exhausted!

Sunday, October 20, 2013

Oops, I missed blogging yesterday due to being exhausted! I have been working extremely long hours these last few days where on Thursday I worked from 8:30 am to 9 pm and then on Friday I worked from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm. Today, I am on day 20 of 21 days straight of work. This means tomorrow is my FRIDAY!!!

Last Friday and today for 8 hours, I worked one-on-one with a 21 year old woman who is severely autistic. Her attention span is about 3 minutes. She has ADHD too. I definitely get a work out with her! Physically and mentally!

Today I am doubly exhausted. Last night my youngest son who just got his drivers license had my car. When he got home at 11:30 pm, he had to wake me up to announce that he is home. At 3:30 am, my daughter's cat started clawing my bedroom door and meowing loudly. My daughter gets upset with my husband and I for feeding the cat just to shut it up! So, I tossed the cat in her room and shut the door. This woke up my puppy who was in his cage. I decided to take him outside, which was a good thing since he ended up going diarrhea. By 5 am, the cat is clawing the door again. Apparently my daughter let her cat out...grrrr! I tossed the cat in her room again. At 6:30 am, my daughter was awake and making noises in the bathroom. I decided to get up at 7:30 am to start my exhausting day.

It is almost 8 pm and I am debating on watching my show, the Amazing Race, which is over 40 minutes late!!!

My weight is holding steady, my calorie ranges are good, but I am lacking in exercising due to all these long, exhausting hours at work. I actually get to sleep in somewhat tomorrow morning and I don't need to go to work until 2:30 pm. I will be home alone!!!

I hope I can exercise tomorrow, Tuesday, and Wednesday! Wednesday evening will be the start of another long 10 days of work! Whew!!!

Okay...Amazing Race just came on...good night!

Sounds to me like you got in alot of exercise! Working with the handicapped can be physically draining too. You don't need to lift weights or go to the gym to get in your exercise each day. Just walking around at work, picking up your daughter's cat, etc. It's all exercise! emoticon
