3rd Week of Success...

After my 3rd week of full out watching what I eat and exercising I am still going strong. I'm proud because I normally have a really hard time staying motivated and would have given up by now. I keep setting smalls goals for myself and exceeding them! This past week I set a personal goal of doing 100 miles on my stationary bike and I ended up doing 147.5! I also set a goal of being able to do the No More Trouble Zones video from Jillian Micheal's for the whole time by Thanksgiving. I did last week twice. I had to do a few modifications so I am going to alter my goal to be able to complete the whole thing without the modifications.
On my last blog I had a comment that maybe I was doing too much, and I thought about it a bit. I decided instead of doing both cardio and strength everyday I would alternate days. This didn't end up working out so well for me... I am doing the strength every other day, but for whatever reason I can't give up my bike time. I have a complete rest day on Sundays so I'm not going non-stop. Each week I have progressed to longer workouts, and my muscles aren't aching at all. I feel amazing!! I have more energy, and have gotten things done around the house that I have been trying to get to for MONTHS!
The one thing that I am struggling with is my nutrition. I have been having a really hard time getting enough carbs in each day, which is something I thought I would never have a hard time with because I LOVE my carbs! I have also been on the higher end for fat everyday so that is something I am going to continue work on. I'm proud of myself though, yesterday my daughter got a cupcake and some m&m's for her snack after cheering. She offered to share with me, but I was able to say no!
I'm excited for more success next week!

    emoticon If that much cardio is working for you then I say do it! I'm sure if you start to get sore you'll scale back. Different things work for different people.
