Big moves lately....
This past month, I have had consistent effort to getting back on track. So, I'm proud to say that after shamefully bloating up to 194 lbs again (never thought I would get above 190 again, but I did), over the past 4 wks, I'm back to 184 :)
Working nights and odd hours helps too... I get nauseated when I work weird hours, so I eat less.
Part of the loss may be thanks to my new scale. I think my old scale weighed me a few lbs higher than other scales... but I'll take it. My old scale finally broke for good. It was a digital scale I've had for about 4-5yrs, and it would no longer weigh me- it suddenly was just roaming on numbers anywhere from 188-243 lbs... never settling on a number. Replaced the battery, but that's didn't help. So I got a new scale. It's soooooo much better. I even tested it a few times by weighing my self over and over and then with holding a 3lb weight. I must say I was impressed with it's accuracy.
And then I talked my husband into letting me buy the Spark Activity Tracker! I have a BodyMedia fit armband... but lately I've been having more skin reactions to the metal on it- making my arm itchy and red where the round metal sensors are. And to be honest, I really would prefer something that I can wear in a more concealed fashion. I leave off the arm band if it will obviously show for work and going out, so there's time when I wear it alot- like months where I'm working in a capacity where I mostly wear scrubs, but I leave it off when I go out and my arms aren't covered or when I'm not wearing scrubs at work. There were mixed reviews of the SP tracker on Amazon, but I really hope I will like it. We shall see....
