In just one week (Saturday, Oct 26), I will be running (mostly walking!) in my next race, the Wicked 10k in Virginia Beach, VA. This race is double the miles of my previous race (the Crawlin Crab 5k) so I'm a little nervous. I want to make sure that I can do this, but not push my body too hard. I will be getting another round of cortisone shots tomorrow afternoon when I visit the foot doctor, so hopefully that will help in this race.
My daughter will also be participating in a race at the same event, the Monster Mile. She's really excited. This will be her 3rd race. Well, 4th if you count the 5k that we didn't finish because we got sick during the course and had to stop. She wants to sign up for a longer race now, so I'm thinking of signing her up for a 5k in December.
This week, I will be eating as healthy as possible and working out everyday. Drinking plenty of water and no naps during the day!
