Ok...Today I Faced the Scale...And....

Sunday, October 20, 2013

Well, after my confession of my terrible week of eating last week....I was alittle down and disgusted with myself....I know what I did...I have to own up to it....
Well...it's Sunday...weigh in day...I really don't want to do this, but, come on Terry...face the music....I get slowly (very slowly) onto the scale, and....

Yea...My guardian angel is feeling the same way I do right now...

179.2!!! WooHoo!!! I lost another pound!! Maybe all the running up and down the stairs, moving furniture and painting burned off enough calories...but...WooHoo!! I have not been in the 170's for years!!

So...now matter what...never...NEVER GIVE UP! And, you can be sure, I'm going to watch it this week!

I love this Terry! Thank you for sharing.

I really did blow it last week, but guess what? I am not defeated, and I am giving my guardian angel a lot to do as I am being more active. Ha!

emoticon The scale is so unpredictable. We think we have done terrible and it shows we haven't been so bad -- and sometimes we think we've done so well and it shows maybe we haven't. But when we have such a pleasant surprise, it sure is great motivation! Hang in there and definitely NEVER GIVE UP!

Sometime our body can handle more than we think which is why it's hungrier that week, it's when that becomes habit it's an issue. Glad it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be.

I would think of this pound as an advance.
If that week was as bad as you picture it (most likely not:)) then this pound is not a result of this week.
Now it's a new week, make it perfect add something to pay off that advance you got this beautiful day!

Congratulations. Those weeks are the best. When you're praying just not to gain and actually have a loss! emoticon

So, Terry, my dear emoticon , what comes first the chicken or the egg? In the way the mind works the thoughts of disgust, remorse, etc. come up first. They hit fast and furious and before we know it we are proving those thoughts to be true.

Next time you are tempted to the dark side, emoticon , get a piece of paper and pen and start writing your thoughts out. If something is happening around you that is upsetting you start writing about that. Then take a look at those thoughts, own them!, smile gently at them and tear the paper up! Then, continue on program.

Hugs

Karen
