Push That Tush -- Portion Control

I have been using smaller plates for quite a while ...
you would think my eyeball estimates of portion sizes would be more accurate.
They aren't.
My INNER CHILD is always looking for more.
This week, I'm making a real effort to measure my portions.

I drank too much coffee, too late yesterday and had a tough time falling asleep.
This morning I woke up with a headache...I'm dying for a cup of coffee.
I need to switch back to tea today.

Looks like it's going to be a nice day for a long walk...
the fall foliage looks great in my area

    We have had nice weather for the last few days but it is going to turn cold now. Tonght we are suppose to have a frost and by Wednesday it won't get out of the 40's. I think we may have a tough winter.

  When you mentioned about the small plates, it made me instantly think of the challenge of putting healthy portions of foods on small plates that will fill you up, but not out!! :-)

  Good reminder. Most of the time, I do pretty OK. But several days ago, I was shoving trail mix in my mouth, with the pckage new by. I noticed that sometimes this happens, when I take a little bit, but keep dipping in or it really tastes good( and becomes less and less the more I eat) and lately something makes me bugged or overly concerned.

By the way, it just so happens...

I was folding laundry, and this thought wavedat me, what happened to Cheryl... that lady who did the great blogs and fun pics. I even like the "push the tush". It sounds better than move your a, or butt. emoticon

    I always measure by weight as I have no concept of how much a serving is. No matter how long I do this I never get any better at estimating. If I don't do weight than I find a way to cheat as I can shove more into a half cup into a half cup. I'm sneaky that way. LOL.

    Our bodies really do tell us what we need to live... and to live healthy. It's our flesh that says, "I want more... gimme more!!" And then afterward... yuck. I get what I call a carb hangover... and it feels awful! Not worth it.

Note to self... not worth it!
