More High School Reunion today

Saturday, October 19, 2013

Jim and I were back at the reunion activities today around 11 am. There was a program that ran for several hours of speakers and photos and history of the school. We also walked around the halls some more. We both attended this High School, only a year apart so we had memories of the school and friends that we did see. Because the reunion encompassed all classes, from 1936 to 1982 we didn't see as many of our classmates as we thought, but the event was well attended. The classes from the 60's and 70's were the largest groups. There was one graduate from 1937, he was the oldest.

There was a Pep Fest with some of the older cheerleaders leading the cheers and the city band played the school songs among others. Was just a nice trip down memory lane. We didn't go to the dance tonight, no interest in that.

Got 23 renewals for the gun club in the mails so am back in business processing......

Did get a nice walk in. It started to rain, and then we had tiny solid pellets coming down. Was it hail or snow? Flakes were predicated a as possibility so it could be we had our first sign of white already.

Back to work and reality on Sunday.

Went to my 50th reunion in 2007. Loved it. Missed the 55th due to having heart problems. I was really looking forward to it. They are fun times and do bring back memories, some good, some not so good.

My husbands class should have had their 20th this year and no one contacted us. My 20th is next year...hoping they have one but apprehensive about going.
