emotional eating inventory blog #3

Saturday, October 19, 2013

Yesterday I went over my calories by a lot. I won't even go into how much since I am ashamed of myself. I just want to be honest here. I am dealing with guilt from past experiences. Survivor's guilt. I won't even go into how I know. I just know because it is affecting my eating. Will be talking to a counselor next month about it.

I think it's great that you have recognized where the problem lies and are getting help for it. I'm certainly cheering you on during this journey!

I read others comments and the important thing we all agree with is to forgive yourself.not be ashamed. We all blow it sometimes by a lot BUT we start again and again. The past is just that the past. We cannot change it, we learn from it and do better. Each day or each hour is a new start. Believe in yourself and know we are all here for you. Sending you positive ((((vibes))))) and a big hug!!!

This is one day at a time. You realize you didn't do well, you admitted that to yourself and to us, you made yourself accountable, so now it is time to forgive yourself and strive to do better in the future. You will fail, we all do, but the real key to success is knowing we will not be successful all the time but to be successful most of the time!

Start with renewed determination right now - but first forgive yourself for past mistakes. This is a new minute - I hope you make it count toward success!

God bless!

Good that you are able to admit and record how your emotions are effecting your eating.

The first step is admitting - right? I think you are doing a great job!

that is a good start. When you are eating too much, I think something is eating at you. I know that it does that to me. I have done a lot of thinking and trying to release what it is that is causing me problems. Good luck. It isn't easy. I know you are special and we all need to really feel that in our hearts.     No shame in admitting you're having a challenge and facing it! That's quite the opposite . . . courageous! HUGS

Don't be ashamed. You are being honest instead of hiding. You are seeking help that takes courage. Good luck to you. I wish you well and hope you find peace.
