Starting Again

Saturday, October 19, 2013

I am ready to re-commit to the Spark project now. I've reached my monetary goal, but have decided to use the funds to enroll in a wound care certification course offered by Emory University rather than go to the conference. It's more practical and would have wider and longer-lasting benefits.

Leon ate the charging cord for my FitBit. He also destroyed 2 pairs of orthotic shoe inserts. I may have gotten him for free, but he is an expensive dog! I wouldn't trade him for the world, though, he is my Big Boy. And Miss Hattie is doing very well, even though she is a grouchy little old lady sometimes. So the quadruped portion of the household is prospering.

My husband started grad school classes at some point during my working madness, studying math online through University of West Florida. I am terribly proud of him, and he made a perfect score on the GRE! I do love a smart man.

I have completely fallen off the bus as far as tracking my food and activity goes. I have been able to maintain a lot of the lifestyle changes I had started, but tracking everything and doing Spark stuff just imploded. Now it is time to get back into Sparking. I have missed the community and all my Spark friends so much!

But first, sleep!

Hey! Let me tell you -- your community missed you too! Welcome back! You've done marvelous to be that darn busy and still managing to stay healthy! Yes - the tracking and the visiting is important (I added the visiting! lol) but at least you didn't give up!

Now is Leon normally that naughty or is he rebelling because Mom is away working too much for his liking? How old are he & Hattie?

Congratulations to your DH!!! emoticon We knew he was smart when he married YOU though!

As for you decision with further training -- that sounds like a very good alternative. As you say - it will go much further than just a conference will!

Good for you, Girl! I'm so glad to hear from you again! emoticon for managing so well!!!

I'm so happy that you are back! emoticon

emoticon on keep some of the lifestyle changes while you were away from Spark. That is a great accomplishment, and the rest will become the same type of habit as you continue.
