Action week ahead!

Saturday, October 19, 2013

Today I weighed in at 86.1kgs which is 0.7kgs higher than Wednesday's weigh-in and I expect that is because I didn't eat for several days preparing for the hospital procedure and my body went into starvation mode. I could actually feel it happening - by day 2 my body's hunger slowed down and even when I could eat again I wasn't very hungry, but I ate anyway to get the nutrients back into my body as I could feel I was lacking.

So today is another day and with renewed energy I have things to achieve. Actually I have a lot to accomplish all of this week and then the garage sale is on Saturday also so I need to be prepared for that. So far we have probably around 200 items for sale and sitting in my double garage to be sorted - included in the stuff that mum brought over to sell was an exercise mat and a large exercise ball - she said she is too old now to be getting down to floor level and then getting back up again, so I have these items tucked away for use at a later date when I get around to working out what to do with the ball! Not sure I'll be comfortable using it yet either!

Tomorrow I'm back into my fitness program - daily aerobics and 3/days week strength training and then 2 rest days.

I expect I'll be blogging less and concentrating more on the things I need to do this week!

Have a great day/night all and keep those challenges alive and well and at the forefront of your minds.

Exactly the same with me. I thought that with the agony of going through all that, at least I'd get a couple of pounds lost out of it, but no, actually I PUT ON weight too, go figure! Body definitely doesn't like starvation mode!

Good luck on getting back in to the groove. And don't let the scales torment you. Those last before/after photos show your efforts way better!! emoticon

And enormous luck on transforming yourself into a "flylady" (now you've googled it!) this coming week with your garage. Better you than me, heehee! If i don't hear from you, I know where you'll be! emoticon

I'd definitely keep the bouncing ball. The following 1st emoticon picture looks easy enough, doesn't it? emoticon emoticon

It is hard to comprehend that enforced starvation for a few days can lead to weight gain, but there is the proof! Aren't our bodies wonderful!

You will soon get back on track by following your established routine. I think the up ticks on the scale are hard to deal with though, and for me are often give up points, because the effort seems to far outweigh the rewards, but not anymore. We have a longer term perspective.

You are doing fantastically well, and have gone through so much emotionally in just a few weeks, no wonder the wine bottle was tempting, but you resisted and found other ways to release the tension.

My daughter and I are having a rummage sale next spring. I'm looking forward to decluttering my house. Your fitness program sounds like a good one!
