Another week has passed with no zombie apocalypse. Dang it.
This week was looking good from day one. After my free day I weighed the same as I did when I weighed in on Saturday morning. I knew it was going to be a good week, but then on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I was still weighing the same, hadn't dropped a bit! Finally on Thursday and Friday mornings I was showing losses, I was down 2.6 lbs!!
But then disaster struck :( I found out that my brother and his girlfriend were coming into town and wanted to take my folks and my son and I out to dinner. Now, I love my brother, but this guy owes me so much money (over $1,500 just from this year alone, and I'm the unemployed one) that if the opportunity arises to get something out of him, I have to take it. So off to dinner I go.
I tried to be good, but sometimes trying isn't enough. I had a small bowl of clam chowder, 2 chicken breasts (grilled!) with a little cheese on them and about 20 fries. The chowder and the fries are what got me I'm sure, what with their super delicious sodium and all. I drank 2 glasses of water and didn't even have a bite of dessert (was offered some caramel sundae and a spoonful of cinnamon roll bread pudding).
Well, long story short, I get up this morning and I am no longer down 2.6 lbs, instead I am right back exactly where I was last week. I am bummed about throwing away a real good loss but at least I know that I still have the ability to lose (I had begun doubting whether I could get back under 210 after the last 6 weeks or so).
Anyway, let's see the numbers.
Weight : 215.4
Loss : 0.0
Total : 104.6
So there you have it, a week in which I lost weight, but then didn't. At least I can rest easy knowing that much of the weight from yesterday is water and that I should be able to to do next week what I almost accomplished this week.
