So I'm losing about 4 pounds a week on this sugar detox. Which is crazy, because the only thing I changed from what I was doing before was to eliminate honey, syrup, and dark chocolate.
I was already steadily losing weight using Paleo (about 1 to 1.5 pounds a week), while not having to count calories and getting to eat as much as I want, feel as full as I want, and just generally feel as happy as you can in a "diet."
So I'm still getting plenty of meat, eggs, vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats/oils. But changing that one thing--no sugar at all--and the weight is just falling off of me.
I know four pounds a week sounds a little unhealthy, but I'm eating healthier than I ever have before. I'm eating food that I prepare myself, made from fresh (unprocessed) ingredients.
I feel like this is something I have to keep telling people. Because it is awesome.
