Wow, what a journey it has been.
If you have followed you know that I went from being a mother with up to eight children at home (foster and bio children) and living in Arkansas, through a terrible accident and now, have finally landed at my cottage by the sea in Oregon! What a journey!
I am proud that I have maintained the 25 pounds I lost, but ready to begin losing again. Through the move across the country, starting a new job, adjusting to life with only TWO children and exploring the area I made a choice to be *aware* of my weight loss but not focus on it. I am holding around the 222 weight. However I have dropped another pant size so that is interesting!
We arrived here a month ago, moved into the cutest cottage high on a hill. At night I hear the ocean crashing. We have a garden with some veggies still growing in our yard and have found an eccentric farmer that we buy tons of organic beans, corn, onions, potatoes, squash, kale and other goodies from! We have been hiking every single weekend and spend several nights per week walking the beach looking for shells or tide pools. It's been wonderful.
Hannah has made a full recovery. She still has a small amount of memory issues but we are homeschooling this year to help her (and Jacob) recover and adjust. Its fun to build the sea into our learning. I have a fantastic new job doing what I love the most (crisis therapy) and work less then a mile away.
SO for the real news.... I am joining a female only gym that is 2 blocks from home! After the years in Arkansas where I battled 100 degree weather to run in, snakes and bugs, no gym within 30 miles it feels like SUCH a blessing to have a gym and healthy food available! I plan on joining next week if my knee injury is healed enough to get back in (unfortunate tumble off the rocks when hiking has slowed me a bit).
Looking forward to engaging with SP again and need to get busy joining some groups and challenges! Glad to be back!
