A quick update

Hi guys!

It's been a while! In all honesty, not a whole lot has happened since my last entry. It still is a struggle, I hate to admit that but it's true. I'm trying my best not to gain any weight at this point, and so far I've been successful. I'm stressed and my emotions are all over the place most of the time, and that's not a good thing if you're and emotional eater like me! At the moment I'm doing what I can to calm things down and not let it get to me too much. I've been keeping a food journal for a while (no tracking but I'm going to start doing that today) and it has helped a lot.

I keep a private journal on my laptop and it's been a great help, too. It's easier to find patterns and point out what went wrong when you write it all down. I'm learning a lot.

I'm in a rush so I'm going to keep this short. Basically, I'm still here, still doing the best that I can, and I'm not giving up! I WILL lose this weight and things WILL get better. That's my mantra.

    I am sorry to be so late in responding to this... this past week has been insanely busy/stressful for me and I'm way behind. But I'm glad to hear from you and know that you are holding in there, even if you are struggling. You can do this! I think a journal is a great idea--it's a great way to deal with stress as well as see patterns. *hugs* I hope that things get better for you soon.

    I'm finding that the journey itself is everything. Refuse to take a backseat in the story of your life, and the rest generally starts to fall into place. It's really nice hearing that you're plugging away still and keeping your focus in a positive realm. Hope you start to feel some resolution to the stresses in your life.

    emoticon Overcoming our emotions and not allowing them to dictate our eating has to be one of the most difficult things we face as we try to lose weight.     Thanks for checking in so we know YOU ARE O.K.! Stress and emotions are the hardest things to get a handle on aren't they. It sounds to me like you have made some progress, if not weight wise, at least nutrition wise and biting that SP Tracking bullet can be one of the hardest things to do I think.
