Here is a word to myself, perhaps it applies to you as well.
Stop judging and evaluating yourself, but most of all stop comparing yourself with other people!
Each one of us is unique, and our journey is as individual as we are. There is no one else on this planet exactly like you, so stop giving yourself unnecessary inferiority, or even pride, in comparing your self to how others are doing.
Yes, find encouragement in another's progress, rejoice over their victories, and empathise with those who struggle to make it through each day.
You are more than a number on a scale, more than the length of a measuring tape, more than the number of steps you counted or didn't count.
Your intrinsic value has nothing to do with the size of your butt, your wallet, the number of abs you have or the reps you do.
You are an amazing, complex, wonderfully knit together person. Your progress may be slower, but that's ok, many of the most beautiful things can only be observed at a pace that defies a world that says faster is better.
Some changes take time, some patterns must be broken, lies that were perpetuated must be shattered.
There are twists and turns at every avenue, some lead us to nowhere, such as self pity and indulgence, and some lead us to a healthier way of living.
You are unique, a work of art, a gift to others, and a treasure in an earthen vessel.
