My journey started not too long before I got this office position. I worked as a waitress before, and was alarmed when I started putting on weight. I weighed over 160lbs.
I drank too much alcohol and had a diet that mainly consisted of fast food. I don't know why I was in shock that I was overweight. I was a mess.
So, last spring I got an office job. I thought for sure my weight would skyrocket. It did for a bit until I finally got serious about losing it. First, I started with my diet. I cut my calories down to about 1200-1500 per day. I consumed more if I thought I would be working out that day. I needed to incorporate some foods I ate previously, but within good proportions. That's when the magic started to happen...
I STARTED LOSING WEIGHT!
I yo-yo'd for a bit; trying to get into the groove of becoming healthier. It definitely wasn't easy. I would get into ruts where I didn't care what I put into my mouth; and boy, did it eventually show. Now, I have a better understanding of my body and the process of losing weight. No, you can not starve yourself. I had to tell that to myself early on. But you need to cut out certain things from your diet to be successful. That's just what I did.
So now with it being October 18th, I have achieved a goal that I set for myself last year. To weigh in at 140.0.
So proud of myself and I feel great!
