I started Sparkpeople on April 1st of 2013, Fool's Day. I figured that this is just a fool on me since multiple diets ended up horribly bad.
This time though, I decided to make a lifestyle change and to give it a hundred days. I did it! I lost 18 pounds!
Then I thought, I should go another hundred days...but this time I only lost 13 pounds. No worries though since I had two major events that hindered my exercising...a heart scare which turned out to be an asthma related issue and a horrible sprained ankle and foot. I still have pain, boo...
So, to recap what 200 days look like to me is...
I lost 31 pounds!
I went from a very tight fitting size 18 wide (or a 1X) to size 16 with size 14s fitting very snugly.
I went from walking a mile to jogging 5 miles, almost daily...until I sprained my ankle.
I made a lot of Sparkfriends
I blogged every day to keep me accountable
I am as motivated to lose more weight as I was on day 1.
I feel younger, healthier, and stronger - more confident
I learned that I CAN DO IT
Well, here's to another 100 more days!
