Thanks for the potassium info! Not sure about potato being "bad." White potato is high glycemic with no skin, but the skin adds fiber and makes it lower glycemic. Sweet potato is nutrient dense. Either kind with added butter, salt, brown sugar, sour cream, bacon, etc- we all know that adds needless calories. But a small portion plain with skin? No problem for me. (esp. roasted in the oven with a little olive oil and plenty of garlic and fresh onion!) emoticon

EWL978 I was told they are mostly empty calories; and most people smother them foods that are not good to eat while on a weight loss plan.
I stopped eating them and my leg CRAMPS GOT WORSE UNTIL I INCREASED MY BANANA AND SPINACH CONSUMPTION. NOW I CAN FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF when I eat a baked potato!

OK, lima beans and prunes . . . not the usual suspects to me, but hey . . . I'll eat 'em!

    HUGS and thanks for sharing.

Interesting list....I had no idea that white potatoes aren't good for you? Did you find out why? I'm always trying to get in more potassium...think I'll hit the dried apricots for a while. (although they're probably too much sugar)
