That's when I last posted a blog entry. Eek! My sinuses have been awful for the past month, and with sinus pain comes a lot of lying down. I work in front of a computer 40 hours a week and spend a lot of my free time writing, so my eyes needed a huge break. Even now I'm in some pain.

My doctor won't call in a different antibiotic because I'm allergic to so many, and said I basically just have to wear this one out. I'm a bit peeved, but what can I do? On the plus side, my mom said I look like I lost weight, my pants are looser, my desk chair doesn't sink when I sit down, and I'm not feeling as out of breath when I exercise. While I have yet to step on a scale, I'd say that's a testament that I'm doing things right emoticon

Thnk you for all of the positive comments! No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth LOL! Emotionally the past month has been draining. Overall I've been sticking with my new lifestyle but haven't been on here as much. My sinus infection is just about gone. That was one of the worst I've ever had.

Hope you feel better soon! (I use a neti-pot when my sinuses act up. It's messy and REALLY uncomfortable until you get the hang of it, but I would say it is worth giving a go because it really is SO helpful to get all that gunk cleaned out.)

Get well soon. I've been having sinus problems as well since September. Boy, this cold weather really hit hard and then summer weather sneaks in every now and then. Yup, my sinuses are confused, too.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better - I've been looking for you too! Glad you're back! Hot compresses are the only thing that works for me when I have sinus headaches. Going through an infection without antibiotics is difficult, but if you're allergic, you need to save the ones you can for times when you absolutely need them! Hope to see more of you in the coming weeks!

emoticon emoticon Danielle, Was worried you had dropped off the face of the earth. I have the sinus problems too and know how debilitating they can be. Do the whole gamut of sinus rinses and neti pots and vaporizers and on and on. I've done my last two without antibiotics because my doc says to just ride it out. Too many antibiotics aren't good for the rest of your body and you'll get immune and it's usually a virus and you know what I'm talking about. It's just miserable so I'm glad you haven't given up and are still working and writing and you are seeing some good results in NSV's. Pop in once in awhile just to keep us posted on the 12 Weeks team. We have lots of new members.

Hope the writing is coming along well. Sounds like you have figured out how to use your time away from work to do the work you really want to be doing!!
