Just wanted to pop in as I have now discovered that some people mean something quite different to what I mean when they talk about 100gr of protein. I mean protein weight as it used to be called. 3 1/2 oz of protein = a 100gr weight of meat, fish, poultry, 2 boiled eggs etc.
I was quite confused to hear a couple of times recently that 200gr protein a day was bad for my health and as I am in good health, diabetes and BP under control without medication and I am in my seventies this was a surprise.
I have since discovered that we are working on two different 'protein' systems. I am not saying that one system is right and one is wrong - they are just different ways of using the word protein.
This may be because of age or background - however if anyone else is having a problem
as I have since heard, hoping this will put your minds at ease. You do not have to live on 2 boiled eggs a day (100 gr actual weight) as your full quota of protein for the day.
