Hum...DH asked a big question today

Thursday, October 17, 2013

He wants to know if I would consider staying in Pennsylvania until Thanksgiving. Hum, this is a big question. I really miss my doggies, kitty and warm weather. I also miss my own space and quiet time. But I do love the grandkids and love helping out with their care and such to give DIL a break. I also was thinking that November is the loudest time in Ajijic as it is the celebration of their saint and that is when the cohejetes(fireworks) go off every morning at 4:30 am and again at noon and again at midnight. Every year I go a little nuts with them. They drive me crazy. So I guess if we stay here in Pennsylvania I wouldn't have that anyway. Hum, decisions, decisions. Not sure what I want to do. The good news is that the folks staying at our place would be more than happy to stay longer. They young man's parents are even coming for a visit and we said they could stay at our house. Geez, what to do???

Today I go for an eye appointment. Been two years and I think I will need a new prescription. Good to just get it done.

I hope all of you are doing terrific.
Have a great day.

Since your housesiters are willing to stay on, it
might be nice to stay and be there with the family
for Thanksgiving. I can understand how you feel
about missing your animals and most of all your
own space. good luck with your decision. Meanwhile
enjoy your time with family.

It's a puzzle. Warmer weather would be good for your cold, but irregular sleep wouldn't be. Think about it, sleep on it, and be happy with whatever decision you end up making.

Follow your emoticon . I am sure you will do whatever is best for you. I do believe three weeks away from the emoticon waking you up in the early morning hours would be a plus. Getting to see your daughter and her family would be a plus and I am sure they would love for you to stay longer. Being away from your furry pets for so long would be hard but at least you have someone you trust taking care of them for you. emoticon

It sounds like a good idea, even though you miss your animals and the weather. Missing the fireworks is a bonus!! This way you get to spend more time with family and then when you get back home you have a nice long stretch without pressure to visit at Christmas :)

I am with the stay folks. Grandchildren grow up so fast and when they are so far away, who knows when you will get another opportunity to visit? My Mom commented its like seeing their lives in snapshots. Once they are a baby, next thing you know they are walking, in school, out, etc. Fireworks three times a day for a month?? No thanks lol!

It's a hard decision for you to make. Either way would be great, but for me the grandkids would win hands down. I just wish we lived where we could see them at least weekly! :-)
