On Toes

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

I haven't blogged the last couple of days because I have been on my toes with the additional boys in my daycare. They are noisy and rambunctious and constantly getting into trouble. Yesterday was the worst.

I had some pumpkin that I needed to use up and made Pumpkin Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. I haven't had cookies for awhile and kinda ate too many because of the stress with the boys.

Those cookies sound pretty yummy. I may have eaten too many myself. I hope things start to smooth out with those additional boys.

Keep up the good work!

Boy, N. A noise with dirt on it. emoticon

My three boys can be a handful at times too, especially if one or more if cranky/overtired. I have found with my older boys that trying to run them out of energy is more trouble then it is worth. One- they will outlast me. Two-they are normally more prone to tantrums and whining as they fight settling down because they are too worked up. My older boys need quiet play time interspersed with their more physically active playing.

Maybe group exercise time to wear the boys out?? Beware of baking when stressed ... it leads to eating when stressed ... which leads to getting on the scale and BEING STRESSED!!!

C'mon, my friend -- emoticon

You are doing really well! Life throws us curve balls once in awhile, but you will have those boys in tow soon, and then you'll be back on top of your game!

You're right, we do make time for what we really want - I need to remember that. Maybe you should take those boys outside and give them rakes - we'd have plenty of emoticon to keep them busy and burn off some energy!

Nothing like a couple of naughty boys to mess up one's schedule! Maybe you should give the cookies to the boys? When I did day care, Sesame Street was my good friend!
