Clean Eating an new clothes! (Photo)

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

I've decided that I am going to work on eating clean. I am fairly clean as is, but I am ready to take it to the next level. I have been reading up on it, and have been doing a lot of research, and think I have a pretty good idea of that is going to work for me. Here are some ideas that I have come up with

Breakfast -
-Overnight oatmeal or just regular oats with fruit, pumpkin or whatever else added
- Eggs in various form with whole wheat toast
- Protein pancaked (made from oats, cottage cheese and egg whites)
- Greek yogurt parfait w/ fruit and oats

- wraps w/ carrots
- soups/chili
- salads

- Pork/sauerkraut
- meat w/ steamed veggies and sweet potato
- whole wheat pasta w/ meatballs and salad

- Greek yogurt w/ fruit
- fruit in general paired with a string cheese
- Larabar/Kind Bar

This is a very basic outline. As I learn more, read more and explore more, the menus are going to grow. I am really hoping that by doing this, it helps me not only maintain my loss, but also help improve my performance.

I've already cleaned out the cabinets, and have a donation bag ready for the food bank. I am going to the store tomorrow for the weekly groceries, so I am going to make sure to get a goo start. There are some things left, but I am going to finish them up over the weekend. I can't really donate the frozen dinners, and I on't want them to go to waste.

Anyway, I bought this awesome new sweater at Sears

I bought a few other things too, but those are going to be future blogs!

Today, i was at the mall, and I was hungry and the food court was calling my name. The best pizza in the world was only a few feet away from me, and as my stomach rumbled... I walked right past it, and went to Buckle and bought a new shirt.

Buckle is a trendy store that I always wanted to shop at but never could. I can now, so I went and bought an uber cool shirt just to remind myself that nothing, and I mean NOTHING tastes as good as fit and thin feel!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday!

emoticon By the way, I make protein pancakes using Greek Yogurt instead of cottage cheese.... very tasty and a little less calories. I also make a pumpkin variety by adding 1/2 cup pumpkin and a little pumpkin pie spice as a nice variation.
