Have had a Happy Hump Day...

Today has been good good good. I slept far too late, but aside from that, the day has gone very well. I even managed to not eat during the night last night!

Today's nutritional success is owed to homemade veggie soup. I love homemade veggie soup. Nay, I LOVE homemade veggie soup. I had soup for both lunch and dinner, so I got in lots of veggies and I've stayed pretty full most of the day. It has been nice to not sit here fantasizing about eating my own arm. I really need to make habit of keeping homemade soup around here more often. Dh doesn't really like it the way I like it {with tomato juice as broth}, so I don't make it frequently. But after seeing how satisfied I have been today while staying well within my calorie range, I think I need to either make it for me and something else for dh, or learn to like it as much made with chicken broth, cause clearly soup is a very good thing for my diet. Mental note made.

I also got some exercise today! Dh and I went to the park for a walk. It was cloudy and looked as though it would rain again, but we took the Weather Channel's word for it that there was no more rain coming, and headed to the park. They were apparently correct. The cloudiness made for perfect walking weather for me. It was in the upper 60s, cloudy and a slight breeze, so basically it was an awesome afternoon. While we were out on the trail we saw two whitetail deer playing in the woods, which was super neat. All in all, it was a great walk. We were out for 32 minutes, which was a pretty good length walk for me. The best part, though, was that I felt great afterward. After being so wiped out at the end of workouts a couple weeks ago I think my brain is still expecting for my body to be miserable by the end, but happily I was okay. I was tired, yes, but it wasn't exhaustion. I just have to keep telling myself... that's how it usually feels, the extreme fatigue is an anomaly.

Dh is super proud of me for doing so well today. I earned a sticker for not eating last night and I earned a sticker for my workout today. A little black cat and a vampire. They're absolutely adorable, and he's so proud of himself for the cute stickers. He's even cuter than they are!

Tomorrow is therapy, but I'm not dreading it as much as usual. I kind of want to talk to her and see what she thinks about the psych reducing my meds against my wishes. Hopefully she will have something helpful to say that might help put my mind at ease. Worrying about having my meds taken away is really weighing on me.

My goal for tomorrow is to get up and workout before therapy, but it's gonna be a toughie. I haven't been up before noon in a few weeks, and I need to be up by 9:30 to workout before therapy. So we will see. But before or after, I WILL get in a workout tomorrow. I have a date to run from some zombies.

One last thing... thank you so much for the comments, everyone! You are all very correct -- I have an amazing dh. I'm very blessed. And having all of you here, with support and advice... I'm blessed again. I'm one very lucky girl!

    I used to love the black cat and other Halloween stickers more than anything when I was young! Such a cool thing.

    If you need to, take a note card or note pad to the doc's appointment.. Write down ??'s you have .. we tend to miss things they say when we go alone.it is hard to remember everything.. You get a huge pumpkin sticker from me for today!! Squishy guts and all!! That soup smells good from here!!

    You had an emoticon day, WOOHOO!! That is so good. Your stickers sound really cute, and I bet your DH is proud of you. Maybe when you make your soup you could split the veggies in half and make a pot of both kinds. Good luck at the Dr tomorrow. Congrats also for staying in bed all night, I hope you can do that tonight. You CAN do it!! Hugs
