WIP (work in progress)

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

I've had some ups and downs lately, but I am feeling pretty positive. I paid my visit to court for speeding in a school zone (had to appear because I was going that fast). In my defense, the route is new to me since I moved offices, and it's very close to a highway on ramp. Court was fascinating, and I felt like I learned a little bit from the experience of being there. The judge was very interesting to observe with the different cases, he was very reasonable.

I paid the fine. It sounds crazy, but I needed that speeding ticket. My way to work can go by as many as 3 schools depending on the route. I am grateful I got a ticket and didn't have an accident, especially not with a child and my car!

This experience has made me more attentive, not just when I am driving, but also generally. I have become very casual about driving, eating, exercising. I am now awake to what I am doing in a new way.

No, I am not doing everything consistently. I am however, making progress. I feel good about that.

I'm glad you didn't have an accident, and it sounds like just the wake up call you needed : )

That seems to be what any journey is about isn't it? just being attentive, consistent and yet still having fun.

Good lesson learned. Thanks for sharing :o)
