Finally got news!!

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Well I finally got the results of my MRI and the nerve test. I have another slipped disc in my back in the sacrol region. Going to give me stronger muscle relaxants and need to use moist heat three times a day and exercise- no surgery unless it gets to the point I can't handle it anymore.not good news but I don't have to have a 4th surgery at this time thank you God.I just don't think I could have handled another surgery right now. Other than that everything is going well my daughter is going into her 4th month of pregnancy and is doing well. She just passed her nursing boards and is looking for a job now. please pray she gets one since she needs the money desperately. She is a waitress and works for tips and some people are so rude!!!My other daughter finally found a job after 7 months of looking and is making pretty good money. She still works for H&R block also and will be really busy when tax season comes.my weight loss has stopped and I have been 210 for almost 3 weeks now but I was really sick last week so I am not worried about it right now. I want to thank you all for your warm wishes and concern for me. you are all great!!I love you all!! Lu Ann emoticon

Set your goal right now for 10 minutes/day. That's it! Or 10 minutes twice daily. WHen you can do that easily and it no longer feels like a challenge, increase it by 2 minutes. Slowly, Luann.... emoticon

If your daughter thinks people are rude as a waitress, just wait until she is in nursing! Much of nursing is just glorified waitressing.

Good news about the MRI. Follow orders and get better!

Keep positive like u are. I had back surgery about 13 yes ago and reinjured it in a car accident 5 years ago. Surgery was recommended but I opted for pain management and ended up Within a neurostimulator implant n my back. It's ok. I feel for you! But your attitude is great and will get you far.
Love, Dari

That is great news, know someone that had back surgery and she said that it was a real pain too. So glad that you don't have to go through it right now.

So glad you don't need another surgery, and I hope everything works out so that you don't have to. emoticon

Good luck to your daughter. It seems like there is always a shortage of nurses, so she shouldn't have a problem. Hopefully, she won't have to travel to far.

Don't worry, your weight will start coming off again. Keep being positive. emoticon emoticon

That great news about not needing surgery. Congratulations to your daughter for passing her boards!!! emoticon She wont have any trouble finding a job if you guys are having as bad a nurse shortage as we are here.
Don't worry about your weight it will start going down again. I was stuck at 195 for 3 weeks then all of the sudden the scale started moving again. Sometimes I think your bodies just need to get used to the idea of weighing less. emoticon emoticon

Glad you got answers. Back pain is the worst but it gets so much better with weight loss and exercise. I'm glad you've been blessed with a doc who is not scalpel happy. Diet and exercise and physical therapy should always be the option to try. I'm having good luck with the stability ball for balance and core strengthening. Just sitting on it to watch TV and work on the computer is amazing help. Check one out at WalMart for under $20. Just make sure you get the anti-burst. Coach Nicole has some great beginner work-outs for it. My physical therapist says they are just great for keeping us out of our recliners and using our core muscles which in turn with strengthen our back muscles!!
