Does coffee cause headaches?

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

For the past several months I've had a headache. Just a dull ache, nothing to make me think there is something wrong. I'm thinking that they started about the same time as I started having my 1 to 2 coffee drinks a day. I use is just regular store bought flavored coffee, sugar and milk. It's about 3 ounces of coffee, a couple teaspoons of sugar and about a cup of milk. I don't have a problem with caffeine, never have. .... until I stop drinking it and then I get the classic caffeine headache.
Tylenol doesn't make this go away, kind of like it doesn't get rid of a caffeine one. So that is why I was wondering if it could be the coffee. I've looked it up online and haven't really found an answer. And I thought that maybe somebody here in Spark land would know.
I didn't have my coffee drink this morning, I had black tea instead, but I still have the headache. I wake up with it, I go to sleep with.....
And if it's the coffee how long till it's out of my system?

I get stomach issues from coffee. I had battled major headaches for a long time until I went to my chiropractor. It turned out that I had a issue with my neck that was causing the headaches. After my first adjustment the headaches went away.

I dont think you get a headache from coffee- you get one from not having coffee.

Both my grandmother and I have problems with coffee. Hers I believe caused stomach problems, whereas mine caused me to shake like I had palsy. I don't know about headaches, but it may be for some people that it might do that.

Some people have a headache reaction when they quit caffeine, so I am sure it is possible to get a headache from caffeine as well.
