You Guys are the Best . . . Feeling Much Better

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Thank you so much for all the support I received after I wrote my last blog post about feeling stuck in the 160's.

You're so right--DON'T GIVE UP! Well, I'm here to tell you today that I DEFINITELY will not be giving up any time soon. emoticon

I'm not sure what changed to make me feel so much better . . . since I wrote that blog post, I have worked out a few times, stayed on my good eating plan, and continued to drink lots of water.

Nope, I think I know what changed it. I'm a member of a 12-step fellowship that teaches me that without seeking and staying in the will of a power greater than myself, I am pretty much doomed. I got back in touch with the reality that the God of my understanding does have my best interest at heart and won't lead me down a path on which I continue to act like a jerk. God will lead me on a path wherein the outcome will be that I act with dignity and won't harm others or myself. Awesome stuff.

Also, all of the encouraging comments on that blog post helped me tremendously. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me while I was down.

I hope YOU have a great day!!

Glad to hear you aren't giving up! You are worth it to not give up on yourself!

Society sends us so many mixed messages. Those of us who need to be reminded to be selfish now and then and take of our own needs usually get the message that we're supposed to give-give-give and never ask for anything in return. The people who are selflish to the point it's destructive seem to get the message that you should always put yourself first. What we all need is balance.

Congratulations on finding your balance! You are worth the time and effort you put in to getting healthier. The time a wood cutter takes to sharpen his or her saw is made up by being more efficient. So don't forget to sharpen your saw now and then!
