Pizza Lunch- Plan of Action

So the weigh in went really well. 4 lbs down. I was off for a long fall break. It was back to work yesterday. It was interesting in the tracking department how much more I eat while at home. There are so many temptations around.
I am glad to be back at my regular routine. Its amazing how your battery can be recharged just from taking a few days off.
OH, I have to write about my plan of the day. Today we are having pizza during a lunch meeting. I know, I know, its PIZZA and I shouldn't indulge but I have a plan and it saved me from having to put together a lunch for today. Also, in this healthy lifestyle we all choose to pursue, we have to find balance. For some, pizza is always off limits but I find I do better watching portions, making healthy choices most of the time and practicing the 80/20 rule. 80 percent of the time I eat healthy, 20 % I allow some slippage. It doesn't work for everyone but after being in maintenance and keeping the majority of 70 lbs gone for over 5 years ( and trying every gimmicky thing out on the market) I have realized what works for me.
So this is the plan.
I brought all of my healthy snacks. I am planning on going to my spin class/weight training class tonight. One of my fellow co-workers brought a big box of fresh apples in. I am going to eat an apple right before the meeting. This way I will only be tempted to eat one piece of pizza, and since I got to help place the order for the pizza I have some control over what type of pizza I eat. I think we ordered a nice thin crust veggie pizza. I will eat one piece of that after I eat my apple. Should be well within my calorie range. I never indulge in soda, water for me! So no fear of extra calories there. I will even track the calories of my lunch beforehand so it will be more solidified.
Off to get cracking at some meeting planning. TTYL!!
