contemplating karate for the boys

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

My boys need an outlet of some sort to help them and I was thinking about karate lessons. Wanted your thoughts on how much they run. I know it depends on the area you're in. The kids old principal owns a gym locally, I'm going to check it out today to see what his rates are. My sister an I checked out one place and they wanted 300+ for membership plus 120 for swimming lessons + 5 to 8$ every time you walk in the door! Sorry but I only make 1000 a month and it only goes so far between trying to feed these 4 monsters and gas for my jeep and whatever else they need. Now with this new medical crap going on I probably won't be able to afford anything. My kids insurance company is bowing out of the new fangled program leaving us high and dry! Nice, hu? I'm seriously scared, not sure if ill be able to swing it all on my pathetical salary. Any ideas and help would be appreciated! Hope you all have a good day!

My son took Tae Known DO ,we must have been truly lucky his lesson's were only 60.dollar's a month. He could go three -four times a week. Then when I joined with him it was a family rate of 110. He as his First degree black belt ,me my purple belt. I loved it it is self defense. Truly great exercise and discipline . My son use to be so shy and had some speech problems and Tae Known Do really gave him self confidence . As he grew in rank he had to teach class it just made him blossom. Look into it!

Is there a community center you could look into?
