Oh, Those Choices!

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

Yesterday, Oct. 14, was a beautiful fall to relish. I observed the "official" Columbus Day with my good friend Terri (Terri 289) by taking a long, leisurely walk at a state park--leisurely to accommodate her recovery from knee surgery--and topped it off with a nice lunch at our local Bennigan's. We just had salad for the entree but added two glasses of wine, plus shared a decadent dessert. Alas, this morning I had gained two pounds. The price to pay for sweet indulgences.

Today I go to another lunch, for retired teachers, and hope to keep my choices in check. I also have to get going on a newsletter that is due this week and re-submit another one with a small revision.

Looks ike another gorgeous day is on tap. Enjoy it as much as you can--I'm going to try!

I agree with Pat, it is probably just sodium and water retention. It will be gone by the weekend!

It was a fun way to spend a day together--thanks! emoticon

Carole you are so lucky to have the ocean so close by. We are about 75 minutes most days. I think it is great to get together with Spark friends, It really is one of my favourite choices meeting Spark friends.

If you had a nice salad perhaps it was sodium that retained fluids. I find if I do eat a dessert I can usually walk off the sugar.
Salt is my nemesis and oh how I love it.
I am glad you had a great day with TERRI, I have had her wonderful company here in Maine. I keep telling her some Day I will come to Cape MAY and see Chesapeake Bay. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon
