Siberian Husky friends!!!!

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

I played with 2 Siberian Husky friends today! The first one is a new friend! I saw his owner walking with him and walked up to say hello! He jumped up at me with his 2 front paws, y'know, the "down! boy!" pose, but I didn't mind.

He was actually a Siberian Husky and Spitz cross-breed. So, he had the markings of a Husky but the long fur of a Spitz! A beautiful doggie and so friendly! Rats! I forgot his name! Sigh!

The 2nd Husky I played with belongs to my Mom's friend. Huskies seem to be a very popular breed in Malaysia. Which is surprising, considering our hot and humid weather! They probably would have to be kept in air-conditioned rooms, considering that they are sled dogs in the north and south poles!

I forgot to take pictures of them. I will the next time I see them and post them on this blog!

Have a good week, everyone!

I'm a Mini Schnauzer Mom now, but years ago we had a husky/collie mix. Her name was Brandi, and she was the most wonderful dog with the kids. I'll always miss her.

I have one Schnauzer that is more heat sensitive than the other, but we keep them groomed short in the summer, and leave their hair a little longer in the winter months.
We live in Vermont.

Glad you enjoyed your husky friends ~ they are a beautiful dog.

I have an Alaskan Malamute who will be 11 in 3 weeks. We were in Michigan when we got him but here in Missouri he stays inside all summer with the AC. I run the AC for to his age and arthritic hips he doesn't stay outside much even in the cooler temps that we are having now. Even though he is 11 and weighs 120 pounds he is still my "baby"

We have a husky shepherd mix. He loves his shade. We laugh because when we are playing outside he always returns is toy to the shady area, even in the winter.

He is definitely a different dog once the weather cools off. He has more energy and just wants to be out more.

My oldest son gave me his husky to take care of. He has a swimming pool, and this dog was tearing things and digging holes all over the yard. This was to be temporary, but it has been 2 years. My wife and I have gotten attached to her. She doesn't care for the TX summer, so she spends the day inside under the AC.

How I miss my huskie, such a beloved animal. I lived in Tucson and I don't believe the weather is right. When I had mine, I lived in the snow region, much better for her.!
