For those who want more views and stories about Fiji - and a funny story at the end:

Gearing up for Diwali, buying fireworks, watching how to put on a sari - lots of fun!

We've had 20,000 page views (in our 13th month of travel) - wow! Thank you everyone!

I'll post photos of the skirt soon - didn't buy any flowers, they last a long time and we only had 5 more days in Suva. I told the women that's why I was photographing their flowers, because they were so gorgeous but I wasn't in town long enough to make buying them worthwhile.

I watched the saleslady wrapping that turquoise sari - quite a complicated procedure! Especially pleating the front section and then tucking it all in the wrap tightly enough to stay put - wow!

I'm still laughing over the primo potty, though!

French restaurant, yum. I love the turquoise sari, the top one on your section of saris.
Very interesting as always. I'd like to see a pic of what the seamstress/tailor made for you.
Be careful with the fireworks, I actually think doing it on the beach is a good idea-staying far off is too.
Enjoy your stay.

You absolutely deserve the primo potty AND one of each of those glorious saris and a forehead jewellery piece -- what a colourful blog (hope you bought some flowers!!)
