GRACE IN GIVING
We have all received something in life we felt we didn’t deserve. When others give us things we sometimes say “you shouldn’t have done that” or we give it back. Their efforts, their gift, their kind words help us to feel a little better knowing someone cares. There is grace in giving to others and in receiving. When we give to others, we receive God’s grace and blessings. When we accept from others, we are allowing them to receiving God’s grace and blessings. Let us put giving on our list of things to do today so we can serve God in giving to others and sharing His Good News.
Ephesians 3:7 “By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, thank You for Your grace in allowing us to give and to receive. We know when we give or when we accept a gift we have the opportunities to share Your grace and blessings with others. Show us today opportunities to give and remind us to share Your word with others. Help us to be good givers and good receivers so we can build the relationships You want us to build and share Your Good News. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Giving to others leads to opportunities to share God’s word.
Receiving gifts from others is a great way to thank them and thank God for all He does.
When we are a giver, we can experience more of God’s glorious grace.
When we are a giver, we can experience more of God’s powerful love.
When we are a giver, we can experience more of the joy God wants us to have.
2 Corinthians 9:12 “So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.” (NLT)
