About 11 hours after hitting the gym, I was hit with a nasty flu bug! I thought at first I just had a stomach ache, something I ate at dinner, however the stomach pain and nausea feeling never went away. An hour later I was in the bathroom doing everything you can imagine that goes along with he flu. That was the start. Just put it this way, I should have slept in the bathroom. BY 8:00am, I stopped visiting the bathroom, I looked as white as a ghost, felt weak and tired, my stomach hurt and my body ached (as if someone had squeezed my ribs/chest really tight.) The worst part of it (ok it's not the worst part of it but nervous part) I had a three hour car ride a head of me. AHHHH! I prayed that nothing would happen on the car ride home. I still felt sick, but nothing happened thank goodness!
Funny thing, I think I caught the flu bug from the gym. As I was rowing on the rowing machine I noticed when some of the people were done working out they never wiped the exercise machine off. I think someone with the flu bug was using the rowing machine and that\s how I caught it. Note to self...wipe off the exercise equipment BEFORE and AFTER using it.
Anyways, even though I felt like crap, I still worked out when I got home. It wasn't a huge workout, just 35 mins on the rowing machine (nice easy pace) and 10 minutes on the treadmill. I know I'm crazy for doing it, but you should have seen what I originally had planned for exercising.
Anyways, I'm feeling A LOT better.
