Hey, guys! I know it's been a while, but I've been really busy.
Here's some points to catch up on my journey:
1) I had a slight hiatus and by slight, I mean 2 weeks. I just got back on the wagon today.
2) Tried doing a morning routine. I can not for the life of me do it. I'll write a post about this.
...and that's all that basically happened! Now back to the topic.
Today is the redo of week 5 since I didn't exercise for 2 weeks, but I totally do not mind this. You gotta restart the game every once and a while to finish the quest. In week 5, cardio is added to the mix along with strength training and I decided to add a short-time goal into this.
I've always wanted to jog 2-3 miles without being winded, but every time I would try to jog I would get out of breath SO FAST. I admired the joggers on my campus because they can chose where they want to jog (indoors and outdoors) and they just look so...healthy. I don't know. That's what comes to mind when I see them.
I reach this goal, I want to start out slow. To finish a mile in my campus' track, you would have to complete 8.25 laps, so I decided to walk 2, run 1, rinse and repeat.
But...I kinda zoned out and ran 3 laps and it felt AWESOME. I don't know what happened! I told myself, "Ok this is where the lap ends. Go ahead and walk," but I didn't. I eventually stopped since it was the first time I ran in a while and I didn't want to stress my body. This is how it went:
3 laps walked
3 laps ran
1 lap walked
2 laps ran
1 lap walk (cool down)
I'm totally continuing this. Actually, now that I think of this, I'll have to start weighing myself, BUT I will NOT use this as the main way to see if I'm making progress. I'll measure different body parts tomorrow morning and measure it every 2 weeks.
