I went shopping yesterday with a mostly south beach diet list in my hand and guess what....I mostly got south beach diet stuff for me. I did get other things but they are for the family. (peanut butter and jelly is a favorite at lunch time so that was a must along with some other breads and other things so the family wouldn't notice the switch as much)
since I work noc shift and have 3 little kids running around I don't get to do the 8 hrs of sleep thing that most people do. I get 2 or 3 hrs in the morning then I get 2 or 3 in the evening and on my days off I have to try to make up for it. other than the obvious problem of being tired most of the time that means that at least 5 days a week I am eating around the clock so I had to set up a schedule that would work for my families needs but also work for mine. this is what I came up with.
8am=family breakfast/my breakfast
11:30a=family lunch/ my snack
2pm= family snack/-------
5:30p=family dinner/my dinner
8pm=family desert/-------
10pm=----/my snack
2am=-------/my lunch
this was the best way I could fit 5 meals in for everyone without having 2 completely separate schedules. it has worked out very well for the first day so we will keep it going without needing any tweeking.
I am going to put my food in the log right now unfortunately I need to put in everything I ate before 8 this morning so it is going to look really bad lol o well tomorrow will be a better day I will be more prepared since I got all my prep work done today.
