Big change from Sunny Sunday yesterday. Gray skies, cooler temps. Was supposed to have 50% chance of rain, but so far nothing. No Leagues tonight, so we putzed with our leaf blower to make sure it was working okay, Took it apart to clean a screen, and it was okay so put that back together. Hung a few hooks in the garage to hang extension cords. Then inside and hung the shelves we bought for Jim's radio shack. He has (or we have) a pretty nice shack.
Just relaxing now catching up on emails and club stuff. Panic mode is set in for club members that have not done their two required range attendant shifts. The signup calendar for shifts on line is full now for the year. All year long members were reminded in emails and in the newsletter to sign up. We had days where the club was closed due to no Range Attendants on duty, or other members worked extra shifts so the club could be open. Now the music has stopped and the chairs are all full and the whining has begun. Some members have sold the extra shifts they worked to members, but bottom line it could be that about 90 members will be out of the club come the end of the year. Not much sympathy here- I wrote about this every month in my Membership Secretary report that this would happen. Now reality has hit and some members are not happy. They can reapply to be members in a year and pay the full initiation fees all over again!
