FINALLY healing! and some pictures of what I've been up to.

Monday, October 14, 2013

My face is 95% better now. The burning stopped 48 hours ago and has not really come back. The blisters started to come off about the same time. Today my face looks almost normal The skin is still very dry, but healed enough that I put some vaseline on it today. It's mostly my lips, just around my lips and my top lip up to my nose. So it looks a little shiny, but not too odd. I've had a layer of skin peel off already today - too dried out to be salvaged.

I still have a few sores just inside my nose on the one side. I'm hoping they'll be gone soon too.

I slept well on Saturday night. The first time in weeks and weeks. Then spent all day Sunday tired and trying to stay awake. Slept really well Sunday night too. So well that I've been full of energy all day today. I finally got the pumpkins my mom sent me cooked down into puree and canned.

I ended up with 7Litres (or quarts) that are sealed, and another pint in the fridge for cooking with right away. I should have enough to keep me in preservative free pumpkin for gluten free baking for this year.

I made some new things over the past couple of weeks and have been selling them.

These Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffins - both in the pictured mini size and regular muffin size - have been a great seller. Many of my customers have had to come back for more for Thanksgiving.

My perogies have been selling not too bad, and even had more orders for those for this weekend as well. I'll need to make some more. We don't even have any at home for us anymore. lol

Of course my gluten free cinnamon buns are going over great. I've had repeat customers for these already.

These are my newest creation. Gluten Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. They are awesome. My hubby - who does not eat desserts other than pies - asked me today to make him a dozen in my next batch. Plus I've already had a request for another dozen for next weekend. They are simply sinful.
