What a weekend

Monday, October 14, 2013

Wow what a weekend, this started on Friday night with a monsoon that flooded my conservatory. I found this out when I got up Saturday morning just as I was going out. No time to do anything asI was off to a car show the last of the season. Jumping ahead, when I got home it wasn't as bad and had mostly dried out but still a bit damp (it still is).

The car show really took my mind off of what I was going to find when I returned. I cold wind blew across the sea front but we were well sheltered. 160 cars took part of all makes and models.

Standard Vanguard

Still around I had one in the 70's

That is it for Saturday but on Sunday two of us went Crossness Pumping Station. More next time.

Glad the flood wasn't that bad. The little BMW reminds me of when I was in my 20's, back in the 70's as well. My friend and I were driving down the road. A man passed us headed in the opposite direction with a BMW just like the photo you have. His car was painted totally green. His windows were tinted green, which in turn, made him look green. My friend and I laughed so hard. It looked the a man from Mars was driving down the street. That brought back fond memories. Hope Sunday is a good one for ya!

Now that is the funny thing, The next day it was only damp, the water can only go through the floor which is where I think it come from.
It is now dry thank goodness.
