Hiking, hiking, and more hiking (and a couple pics) :)

Wow, what a full day! I made some banana bread and some zucchini bread this morning (wearing gloves so the wheat wouldn't touch my skin), and my daughter and her husband were thrilled to have some (and get sent home with some later). The one loves the one kind and the other loves the other kind. I still have plenty for my hubby's lunches too. :)
Then said daughter and SIL came and took me for a hike. My sweet daughter gave me her camera, saying she is fine with just using her cell phone. She knew we didn't have a camera new enough to work with our computers anymore. I did take pictures on that hike, but when we went to download them to the computer, I did it wrong and lost them all after deleting them from the camera and not actually having them on the computer. We got a bit lost on that hike, but that's okay. It was a very nice long walk. The temperature was perfect.
Then we went to my house where they had some of the aforementioned bread for the first time today. We walked the dogs, and then hubby came home and we all went to see a waterfall he's always wanted to see. Turned out there was a lot more walking we could do, and they said another waterfall. However, when we got there, there was no second waterfall. Must be only in the spring. Here is a picture near there that looked fairly nice though. I'm wearing my size 12 jeans. I'm able to fit into two faded glory 12s now too. yay. I still have other 12s I want to fit better into yet.

We did a lot of hill climbing and dealt with tree roots, stones, rocks, mud (for some reason), and leaves covering water, but it was a great workout. It was a long walk too, and more strenuous than the first walk. On the way back I had hubby take a picture of me so you could see part of the waterfall. You might be able to see some sores on my arm from gluten and nickel yet, but they were feeling better earlier- less itchy. Tonight they are a bit itchy. I think I know what I ate that did it.
So I burned somewhere toward 1600 calories today (from what I was told, but I wouldn't be surprised if I burned more than that!). Therefore, instead of the calorie amount I was to do for the day, being my reward day with the carb cycling plan I'm on, I went with the higher calorie number Spark People said I should have -especially since I really felt a need for that much food after that much calorie burning!
That was a lot of lower body workout today. I had not even originally expected to exercise at all today, lol. I'm glad I did though. It was really nice to do that with family.
Tomorrow I would like to concentrate more on the upper body. :)
