A thank you to the Casual Travelers !!!

Sunday, October 13, 2013

On Friday I wrote a blog " liar Liar " to which I am pretty sure that played a part in me being in the spotlight today. It is an honor to be in the spotlight for the Casual Travelers. I became a Traveler when I was faced with surgery last year. The challenge team allows you to participate without being criticized for not being able to go balls to the wall. Every person on this team is supportive of all team mates.

Any way back to my blog. On Friday I was extremely upset regarding my foot. The blog is how I see the set back not how it probably is. I can not walk for fitness meaning no treadmill and no pavement walking or mulch walking and till the do the debreeing of my foot i cant do any more pool exercises. However with that being said, I just adapted to what i can do. I can still do my weight training. I had recently took up using the rowing machine at the gym to which i just increased my time on it so that i can get in a cardio workout.

I thought that we had finally beat this thing in my foot but if we have not then so be it. I started this journey knowing that there were be good and bad days. I started with the belief that I could rise above my adversities and my pain. When i was faced with foot surgery last year that was rather entailed and a very long recovery I met it with a plan and rose above the obstacles. I do get discouraged at the thought that the problem is still in my foot but it will in no way keep me from getting to where i need be nor will it send me back to where I have been.

The support, encouragement and the suggestions are all greatly appreciated. It is a good feeling to know that you can pour your heart out and that there are people who will come to your aid. What started out alone is far from it now. I am not good at saying I need you or I need support but thankfully my friends here on Spark people know this and they just come give it to me any way . So to all of you I say thank you ever so much It is wonderful to know that i am not in this completely alone any longer.

Since I am saying thank you let me say a special thanks to SCC who everyday helps me believe that I can do anything. That not only is the end obtainable but also reminds that is so worth all that i have to do to get to it.

thats rotten news. I am glad you are finding work arounds for exercise. there is a great team for chair exercise with lots of links for free videos. That is where I started for exercise, and return to on bad days. I so admire your attitude and determination, and I also admire that you can show that you are not Iron Woman and quite human like the rest of us. Remember its ok to pause when you need to for health reasons. you have not lost or given up the battle, you are simply caring for your body. Do what you can, and dont sweat the rest.
