Tomorrow is the day. October 14th. That's the day I've given myself to begin back on a healthy eating and exercise regimen. While it's clear that I'm heavier now than I probably ever have been and need to get healthy again, the short-term goal is to lose weight for my brother's wedding. He and his fiance decided to get married soon, so I only have two months to get as fit as I can. I guess one of my goals is to be able to fit into the airplane seat without needing a seat extender. Other than that, for this event, I just want to slim down as much as I can, tone up, feel better and look better. It's high time. I'm just glad that a specific motivating event has arisen to get me thinking more seriously about taking the time to get back on track.
Today I'm diving back into SparkPeople, getting started with the SparkCoach, going grocery shopping for healthier food to prepare and eat starting tomorrow.
The stressors in my life are nearly unbearable of late, but hopefully rather than using that as an excuse not to get healthy, if I somehow bear through and do the work that my body deserves, my stress level will go down so I can tolerate these dark times better.
