BULLING, Giving up, Moving On, QUITTING

Some of our greatest tests are how we respond others.

It seems that there are too many MEAN PEOPLE in the world.
Unfortunately some of them are on spark.

Mean words meant I am thinking about quitting, giving up on spark.
Mean words hurt more than one can ever put into words.
Mean people love being bullies.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for being mean or rude on the journey. We are all trying our best each and every day. We don't need mean rude remarks on posts or emails that make us want to GIVE UP.
If you are that way, kindly, please go away.

PLEASE change the way you think. Work on YOU. Work on improving what is making you think in a hurtful way attacking others. There are so many self-help classes out there that can change, improve the way you think. Seeking out a LIFE-Coach can also help. Our lives are our opportunities to grow as people, to learn to be the best we can. That is what we should strive for.

Spark bullies please leave.
While I work on my goals, struggle with my challenges, focus on my dreams you dare stomp on me, attacking. How rude. How would like someone doing that to you? JUST THINK OF HOW KIND WORDS CAN LIFT PEOPLE UP. Think of how rude words rip people apart. I DON'T LIKE FEELING SAD. YOU HURT ME. emoticon
Yes, I have feelings.

You choose to take time to write angry words hurt me and you don't even know me.

I will PRAY for you. I will send you POSITIVE ENERGY. I hope you can find some PEACE in your LIFE.

It's YOUR CHOICE on how you BEHAVE. Do you want to leave your mark in this world knowing you made your day brighter by hurting someone else?
Do you have nothing else to do but be mean?
Is it too hard to be KIND or NICE.
I am so sorry you have had a bad day.
I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU A HUG TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER.
YOU ARE CRYING OUT for help BY YOUR ACTIONS AND WORDS.
I don't think you meant all those mean things.
I am so sorry for your DIFFICULTIES.
LIFE is challenging, it's made that way to make us STRONGER, more COMPASSIONATE, KINDER, and WISER.
HUGS.

I can send you a virtual hug if you like.

Why not think of SPREADING CHEER, complementing someone on making it through 10 minutes of cravings, or a day of sticking to the plan.

I dare you to RISE UP and cheer someone on.

I dare you to say something KIND or nice.

I feel so sorry that your day is so bad that you find the need to hurt others.

Here on spark, I let MY SOUL SHINE.
Don't stomp on it.

I dare you to WAKE UP WITH GRATITUDE.
I dare you to have the COURAGE TO FIND KIND WORDS within your heart.
I dare you to see the BEAUTY IN EACH DAY.
I dare you to find HUMOR in life.

Your life may be easy in comparison to mine.
I bet you can't handle a day walking in my shoes.
I bet you never would of survived the things I have had to endure in my life.
I bet you would roll over and give up to the pain and challenges I face.

I BEGIN MY DAY WITH A GRATEFUL HEART.
I always hope to make someone else's day a bit BRIGHTER.
I strive to do my BEST each and every day.
I desire to CHEER others up.
I love to ENCOURAGE.
I love to INSPIRE.

Dear Bully. I feel so sorry for you. Please remember you will be welcomed here even when you are mean as others care for you.

We hope our KINDNESS WILL LIGHT A FIRE OF DESIRE TO REACH OUT AND INSPIRE OTHERS. There is hope for you. I know your probably facing lots of hard times that are making you struggle. Your words are a CRY FOR HELP. You matter, don't give up on yourself. Hugs.

I pray you find PEACE and LOVE.

May you learn to find JOY to DANCE through life. Be blessed my new friend. If you ever need a hug, encouragement I am here for you.

My dear new friend. I hope you can let your soul SHINE.

I FORGIVE YOU.
I won't carry your burden of anger.
I hope you can find some healing.
Hugs.

This is an old blog now but I just came across it. I'm sure you felt better being able to put all your feelings into words and confront those who were rude or inconsiderate to you. I haven't had to experience that and hope that nothing I've said has caused anyone pain. Press on!

Thank you so much for this blog. It's something I've been wanting to say for a long time and just didn't know the right way to do it. I don't understand bullies and I don't believe they belong on Spark. The majority of people here are very caring and supportive, but there are a few who seem to want to hurt others. I, for one, wish they would go away or at least get some help. Anyone who is here hurting others is either in a lot of pain themselves, or they're just plain mean.

Again, thank you so much! emoticon emoticon

May I offer you a virtual hug? You do not need to take unkind words to heart or quit Spark People. You are already well on your way to success and there are many paths to the goal. Thank you for the reminder to be soft with words and loud with encouragement! You did a real service to all of us by writing this blog and raising awareness. Thank you. Spark on!

People who feel good about themselves deep down don't bully. In fact, negative comments tend to bounce off them. They have learned that what they think of themselves is far more important than what anyone else thinks.

Bullies, on the other hand think so poorly of themselves, deep down, that almost anything is an offense to them. They often take others' successes as condemnation of their own failure. They lash out. It's very sad.

Excellent blog! I'm sorry you've had a negative experience on SP. I've been fortunate to have only support, motivation, and kindness. Keep on giving off the loving, positive vibes and sharing the joy. It is so needed and appreciated by most folks here. And hit that BLOCK button to rid yourself of the negative, mean comments. emoticon emoticon

People have no right to bully others, but they seem to take pride in doing so. Yes, they words do hurt, but there is a way to stop someone who sends nasty messages--HIT THE BLOCK button---they won'y be able to hurt you again. I am sending emoticon your way.

What a fantastic blog! Being a bully is such a sad situation. The person doing the bullying probably has their own inner demons to contend with, so they take it out on others. How much easier it would be to spread positive energy in this world! :-)

I was so hurt around the 4th month I was on here by the message boards. People were calling me names and just being mean! I decided to quit, but a team leader told me to stay and to be wary of the message boards. I just did not come on to SP very often....then I went back to the message boards, big mistake! I asked a question, don`t even remember what and got slammed! I mean really bad! And when I tried to explain that it was impossible for me to do that way, I was turned in and sent an email from the moderator to " stop this behavior, or I would be kicked out of SP"! I cried over that, but then decided I was gonna take it any more! (this same person was rude to me before, twice even) so I emailed the moderator telling her to look past my last message and look at what was said to me! I was told to " just throw all your toys outta the crib and lay down & cry"..... So....I think she was scolded too.... but still, I only play the games on the msg boards and rarely ask for advice any more!
I have arthiritis very badly and am not able to do certain things and I also have allergies and other problems that I have to follow Dr advice about.
Thanks for bringing this huge problem out in the light! Some people may not be aware of this, but I am.

Great Blog! I just don't understand people who go out of their way to be mean to other people and I have had it happen all my life. You just can't go around telling people they are stupid, ugly, whatever. I agree that people should lift each other up and I hope that your blog gets the message across.

emoticon Great blog! Most bullies are attention-seekers. More than anything else they want attention. It doesn't matter what type of attention they get, positive or negative, as long as they can provoke someone into paying them.
Do not reply to their postings, and on forums carry on posting without reference to their postings as if they didn't exist. In other words, treat nobodies as nobodies.
Have a great day!! emoticon

Wow! Your powerful and well written message found a home in my thoughts!

First I thought that it has been very rare that I have come upon someone in the Spark community that I thought was mean, much less a bully. Thank goodness for that!

My second thought was, I hope I have not been less than kind and supportive of other Sparkies.

I do not want to be on either side of a SparkBullying or even less than kind interaction!

Thank you for the reminders of our impact on others. Thank you for the food for thought. Thank you for the opportunity to consider both our own and other's perspectives and intentions. We have a choice to make ourselves and our world a kinder, more peaceful, and loving place.

I feel fortunate that I haven't run into any of these bullies on SP. It's such a hard thing because of course we all believe in freedom of speech ... but this site in my opinion is supposed to be the place we all come to feel free of judgment and negativity. That there are those unhappy people whose goal is to make others unhappy is just a fact of life, but the fact that they're here on SP makes me sad.

I loved this blog -- good for you to be able to be forgiving and loving even in the face of ugliness.
