Yesterday I moved my laptop to the treadmill. I set a goal of 10,000 daily steps and split it into 3 parts
3,000 before noon
7,000 mid- afternoon
10,000 total before dinner
I was home cleaning. Midmorning I hopped on the treadmill to top up my steps to 3,000. I checked my email, Sparked and was at 4,000 steps. In the afternoon I was on the treadmill twice to hit 10,000 daily target. I ended the day with a total of 13,000 steps.
I like sitting in the family room, listening to CNN and using my laptop. I can still do these things but not together. If I am on my computer I have to be on my treadmill. So yesterday I got on the treadmill when I did my nutrition and exercise tracking and did my 5% Challenge reporting, checked email, etc.
This morning the sun is shining in the window, and I am feeling good knowing I am making an important lifestyle change.
OK time to hop off I am already at 4,000 steps.
